My father n i saved a portion of his monthly income and from my pocket money towards a bank account Geddit?WE both saved up from our hard work.
Then when im legally 18, i withdraw the money and use it to buy an Cefiro or whatever Camry. -

O really? I thot you have some 170k already there? No more skyline or fast speed cars anymore?? camry and cefiro?? they are not fast enough they could, based on your standard, go 130 - 150 km/h and thats slow.

Please pass your license first before thinking of purchasing a car.
Who knows you may need a long time to pass.
And by that time, new car models would be out in the market.
170k to buy a good sport car... you must be out of your month.
There are things like servicing, insurance, road tax, etc.
Just get a normal eonomical car and be content with it.
With that 170k ( Which you may have ), you can get a rx8 add on with TC and other mod and you still will have about 40k balance.
You were saying in the previous thread that you want to have more bhp.
Do you really think you can control the horse? So far I have tried a 480 bhp jap car, fully mod and I can tell you, the force is totally different on a stock wrx.
A stock rex already packs quite a bit of a punch already.
If you think a cefiro does not feel fast enough, think again. 230jm is on a V6 plateform, its considered an above average saloon car which packs with some power. ( Dun compare it to evo, rex, m3, mps, golf etc...those are either sport or TC car ).
For first timer who just pass their license, a 1.6 and below car is sufficent already. Learn more and gain more experience. Dun get killed driving a fast car. Like my ex-campmate in the pioneer road rex accident.
Only when you have gain the experience, knowledge and handling, then upgrade to a better car. But then again, this is Singapore, get such a big bhp car or expensive car is a waste. No place to run, with mod always got to look out for ROV. Drive with ease, not with tension.

You said your dad and yourself save part of your combine income to amount to 170k am I right? Then no offense but your old man must be as gullible as you. Handing that amount of cash to you just to purchase a car? there are many more financially wise stuff you can do with the money. But on brighter side of things, when you are 18 and more sensible(hopefully) you'll have a tidy sum of savings. And as our other friends here have said, a 170k car ain't just a 170K car. Factor in road tax, fuel, insurance( this would be high cos you're a new driver and you're driving a sports car) etc. Two years isn't a really short time my friend, eat a slice of humble pie now to avoid having to eat the whole pie later.
On the lighter side of things, I know the perfect car for him...

skyline too old to be imported .So i choose newer luxary sedans or suzuki swift la.Hatchback first than upgrade to bigger car with more bhp

and besides, the law for driving is 21 years now, so is nt 2 yrs, is 5 yrs.
these cars definitely not dat cheap as u imagined in the arcades, and it requires lots and lots of maintainence and repairs and such 1 leh... liddat u spent until u cry i tell u... i've seen ppl buy WRX oso wan cry already, WRX is 90k summore
